The Town Fuquay-Varina has an abundence to offer when it comes to relaxing and enjoying life. Whether it is attending local events and classes offered by The Parks and Recreation Department, attending or participating in area sporting events, or just exploring the rich history of the Town has to offer, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The Town has an extensive parks and recreation system that has something for most every citizen. It began with the purchase of Falcon Park over thirty years ago and has been growing and changing ever since. The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department oversees 13 park sites, 17 athletic fields, one gymnasium and a top-notch Community Center, wich is a gathering place for Fuquay-Varina citizens that offers classes related to education, fitness and recreation. The department is responsible for numerous community events throughout the year such as the Independence Day Celebration, the annual Christmas Tree lighting event and Celebrate Fuquay-Varina!
